New MP/MPP Office to Open in Carleton Place

February 4, 2011

Carleton Place – Local MP Scott Reid and MPP Randy Hillier are moving their “One Stop Government Shop” constituency service location in Carleton Place starting Monday February 14th.

The new location will provide the same MP and MPP services as at the old location on Lake Avenue; namely, helping area residents access their Federal and Provincial governments.

The new location is to be at 224 Bridge Street right across the street from Hing Wah Buffet.

“Our new location will be more accessible for everybody, but in particular folks who have a difficult time getting around,” stated Reid.  “I’m glad to have been able to find such a great new location – and it’s right on Bridge Street no less.”

Reid continued, “I would like to also extend an invitation to the entire community to attend our grand opening event on March 19th.”

The Grand Opening will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday March 19th at the new office location.  Coffee and pastries will be served and all are welcome to attend.

Since 2007, Mr. Reid and Mr. Hillier have maintained three constituency service locations, dubbed “One-Stop Government Shops.”  Napanee, Perth, and Carleton Place and their surrounding areas are all served by these local service points.
