Scott Reid is the Member of Parliament for Lanark-Frontenac. He was first elected in November 2000.

Scott was elected chairman of the Conservative parliamentary caucus in November, 2021. He previously served as the Shadow Minister (or opposition critic) for Democratic Institutions (2015-2018), Deputy Opposition House Leader (2015-2016), and Deputy Government House Leader (2006-2015).

He also served as the chairman of the subcommittee on International Human Rights of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development (2008-2015).

Local MP Scott Reid Attends Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus

Kingston –Scott Reid, MP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox & Addington today attended the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus meeting in Kingston to discuss issues facing the counties that make up Eastern Ontario.

“Meetings like this are tremendously important in terms of sharing ideas and discussing common issues with public officials who are in similar positions across the region,” said Reid.

Reid continued, “This is also a meeting that matters a great deal to me in particular since I am the Member of Parliament for three out of the thirteen members of the Caucus.”

The meeting took place at the Kingston Sheraton, where the leaders of the thirteen county and single-tier municipal governments that span from Kawartha Lakes to Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry County met and discussed ways that they can improve the functioning and services offered in their areas and how they can cooperate with the Federal and Provincial governments.
