Hillier and Reid Team Up to Provide Three “One-Stop Government Shops”

October 11, 2007

Carleton Place – Local MP Scott Reid, and newly-elected MPP Randy Hillier, announced today that they will be combining constituency offices to provide “one-stop government shops” for both federal and provincial services.

Reid, who currently has constituency offices in Carleton Place and Napanee, will join forces with Hillier to open a third office in Perth. As a result, constituents will be provided with full-time federal and provincial services at all three locations.

“I am pleased to team up with Randy to provide more office locations and more services to our constituents,” Reid stated. “Constituents will now only have to call one number or visit one office if they need our assistance – regardless of whether it’s a federal or a provincial issue.”

“My first priority as MPP is to provide the highest standard of responsive, effective, and accessible constituency services,” added Hillier. “By offering joint offices across our vast riding, we are delivering ‘one-stop shopping’ to all constituents in need of assistance.”

The riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox & Addington contains over 117,000 residents, and covers over 9,600 square kilometres – almost twice the area of Prince Edward Island. Constituents in need of federal or provincial assistance may call 1-866-277-1577.
